【記】詞根記憶：dis（離開）＋charge（充電）→放電

來自玩撲克牌游戲的詞匯是：The cards are stacked against you。The cards are stacked against you。這句話是說，你很不利的情況下，的機會很少。下面的例子是說人受了騙:

例句-3: \"Last night I got into a poker game with these men I met in the hotel bar. And I lost a thousand dollars before I realized the cards were stacked against me. All I could do was pick up the money I had left and walk away.\"

許多學(xué)生記憶英語詞匯時，采用零星的或是片段的記憶方法，他們對接觸的生詞不會分析和比較，遇到生詞要么死記，要么找個詞匯表硬背。這種被動的記憶方法不能在頭腦中留下清晰、可追憶的印象，經(jīng)過一段時間之后，這些詞匯難免在其記憶中模糊、淡化，甚至消失。這種事倍功半的記憶方式還會挫傷學(xué)生詞匯學(xué)習(xí)的積極性。造成這種狀況的主要原因是學(xué)生不了解英語詞匯的構(gòu)成規(guī)律和采用了不恰當(dāng)?shù)膶W(xué)習(xí)策略。如果學(xué)生學(xué)會如何對英語單詞進行分析、歸類，找到它們在結(jié)構(gòu)上的內(nèi)部規(guī)律，就能提高其記憶單詞的效率。
